New EU grant for CeNDEF

Recently, six European research groups, including CeNDEF, received a EU 7th framework grant for the collaborative project ``Monetary, Fiscal and Structural Policies with Heterogeneous Agents (POLHIA)'', from  1 November 2008 to 31October 2011. 
The aim of the project is to develop macro models with heterogeneous agents for monetary and fiscal policy. The CeNDEF contribution will focus specifically on macro/monetary policy models with heterogenenous expectations.

The project is coordinated by Domenico Delli Gatti (Universita Cattolica, Milan) and other participating groups are from Ancona (UPM), Paris (SciencesPo), Leuven (KUL), Amsterdam (UvA) and Rome (La Sapienza). 
The UvA/CeNDEF contribution will be coordinated by Cars Hommes while as of 1 November, new postdoc Adriana Cornea has already started working on the POLHIA project within the CeNDEF group.

The kick off meeting of the POLHIA project took place on 13 November 2008 in Milan and a POLHIA workshop in Amsterdam is planned for November 2009.
