Increasing globalisation presents a need for graduates with a solid training and a broad range of skills and knowledge in all kinds of business organisations and (inter)national governmental bodies. The undergraduate programme in Economics and Business of the Faculty of Economics and Business is completely taught in English, enabling Dutch and international students alike to major in Business Studies, International Economics, International Economics and Finance, and International Industrial Organisation.

Masters
Business Economics (MSc) (taught in English)
The Master of Science in Business Economics programme is divided into three streams or 'directions': Finance, Organisational Economics, and Real Estate Finance.
The Finance specialism concentrates on the workings of financial markets, the financial and economic management of organisations and the use of financial tools by companies and investors. The Organisational Economics specialism looks at the economic performance of organisations in broad terms. The Master programme in Real Estate Finance consists of three core courses in real estate finance and economics, two small elective courses in finance, and a thesis in real estate finance.

The MSc programme in Econometrics is a multi-disciplinary one-year master programme providing balanced and rigorous training in quantitative analysis of problems in economics and finance. The programme consists of advanced courses in mathematical economics as well as econometrics.

The MSc Economics programme has a strong international emphasis and offers a wide range of options ranging from a theoretical to an empirical and applied orientation. Master of Philosophy in Economics (Research Master, taught in English)
The MPhil programme is a highly selective, intensive two-year research master in economics, econometrics, and finance, leading to a Master of Philosophy in Economics degree. The programme is part of a five year PhD track, but can also serve as an excellent preparation for students who are planning a career in consultancy or policy advice.
