The main mission of ACE is to stimulate the entrepreneurial climate in the Netherlands. ACE strives to fulfil this mission by focusing on it's two core activities: research and education.
Thus, ACE aims at bridging the gap between academia and practice, by:
1) Shaping the research agenda in the field of entrepreneurship. With value for science, entrepreneurial and political practice and thus together with these relevant parties.
2) Communicating output of research to policy makers, entrepreneurs and other target groups. ACE is the gateway to academic research about entrepreneurship.
3) Promoting relevant high quality entrepreneurship research by ‘translating’ and applying
existing research and by engaging in new research projects.
4) Promoting entrepreneurship amongst students by offering entrepreneurial educationprogrammes and through the broad network of ACE (entrepreneurs, corporations and investors).
5) Dissolving existing boundaries and act as a platform, by bringing together governmental leaders, (student) entrepreneurs, corporate executives, investors and academics leading to the exchange of knowledge, thus influencing policy.
